Description: This is a SWD Cobray M11 9mm Full-Auto Machine gun converted to a MMM11 and completely refurbished by Jim Wilson, Task Slow Fire, Thomasville, NC. This weapon was completely stripped and Zyglo inspected for cracks and all welds were redone during the Slow Fire and Sten magazine conversions. The external parts including the Sten mags were refinished in black Ceracote.
The common weak points on the M11’s are poor welding (lack of penetration and short type tack welds) process during manufacturing leading to cracks in welds around the magazine well where the magazine well is attached to the lower receiver. The design features of the unreliable Zytel (plastic wearing) always failing magazines. Were the reasons for the conversions. This is actually a MMM11 after the conversion. For a detailed description Gulf Coast Armory Title 2 Manufacturing and C3 sales or M11/9 Rate of Fire Adjusters for Competition and Recreational Shooting!
